For thousands of dogs in Romania, life on the streets is brutally unforgiving. Many are abandoned as tiny puppies. Others struggle with hunger, injuries, untreated illness and freezing winters. Without help, most would never survive.
Our team works on the ground every day, rescuing dogs in crisis, providing urgent medical treatment, vaccinating, feeding, rehabilitating and preparing them for safe adoption.
We currently care for around 150 dogs, with new arrivals every single week.

As well as the daily needs and care for our dogs at the shelter we have a bigger vision for them - a brand new, modern, purpose-built sanctuary where every dog is treated with dignity, care and kindness. This would be the first of its kind and never before seen centre with a design backed by science.
The centre will include a home-style puppy house, dedicated bedrooms for dogs, its own veterinary clinic and peaceful spaces for visitors and school groups.
